@LittleLakePhil for instance a 4x8 coop uses standard boards or halves except the rafters and the sides are a cut 4x8 sheet. Cut the front and back long ways in either 2' or 1.5 & 2.5 sections and hinge for cleaning and access. Cut in Windows cover with slotted plexiglass for easy in and out. Boxes out one side.

@LittleLakePhilI learned on the boxes out the side and slotted windows from this coop. I will post pictures of the new coop as I get it done. It is taking me a bit longer because I am using a lot of reclaimed and odd wood. Here was my first of three and working on four coops. It has hardware cloth now.

Now I really do need to sleep.

If you use standard dimensions that don't require a lot of cuts, you can build one a lot cheaper and it is not hard. Lowes will even cut your plywood for free when you get it.

I have all the tools... Just in a bit overwhelmed with projects.... Long winter causes that..... Ilk k look into it in the morning. Night guys..... Hope I sleep.... I am tired.... Pleasant dreams
