Yes they do have the long tail feathers. The ringneck and the golden are in a completely different family the goldens are in the rugged pheasant family which the males have a flap of feathers they put over their face when displaying for females.
How many different families are there on the pheasant tree?

Several, I have only looked into the goldens really and know that they and lady Amherst are in the ruffed pheasant family.

Yellow golden pheasants go into lockdown today and hatch tomorrow. Really hoping they hatch... :fl
