I am glad Sneaks is getting better. I had a horse that got into the grain and floundered. He had done it once before I owned him. He hated the vet because of the hose. The vet had me walk him a lot. I walked him all day long and a lot the next few days. He came around but it was work. Mine was a Belgian Stud I bought from outside Barnum. Beautiful horse and great saddle horse if you did not mind a rough ride.
Igor died yesterday. I found her with her head in the waterer, so she might have decided to end it all because of all her disabilities. I felt bad for Judy, I forgot to tell her until this morning, and she cried. She must be emotional today, it is not like her to cry over a chicken.
I cried when I opened the nest boxes to the Partridge Chanticler last night and both of the hens were doing the pancake on the nest egg! I have never seen 2 birds that like to go broody more than those two! It seems like they go broody once a month or more. They are the hens I want and need eggs from most and they spend all their time broody. I am going to give them frozen water bottles today. I am thinking of letting Ed out to run around for a few days, but with my luck on the PC he will find a bear or Lynx to wrestle if I let him free range! So I might not.
Ivie I hope your feeling better. The allergies are terrible, but the snow tonight should slow them down a bit.
I went to a tree place yesterday, it has a large area of great trees. I am thinking 3 pears, 2 apples, and some cherries if I can find a sweeter cherry. It seemed they were all sour, I want eating fruit not pies. I may have to switch out Cherries for Apricots.
I am going down to check the port holes shortly. I am amazed how well I am doing at not opening the door.
