Does anyone know what these chicks will look like when they feather out just by seeing them?

Not sure on color or pattern on the black one but they will probably show some silver and gold with the black . Probably cockerels . The striped ones are likely pullets if they are gold . Silver and gold are sex linked . So guessing that they got gold from the rooster . Only the roosters inherit silver in this case and gold from dad .
 
Well here is pictures of how my day went. Well part of it.


As u can see, Buttercup has gone slab sided!


Tail is up and there is constant pacing.


U can see the water sack poking out.





You can see a foot!


Head is poking out!


The whole head is out!


Everything but the back feet are out.


Cleaning her baby boy.

Okay thanks! The father is Mille Fleur, and the mother is Citron Spangled/Pencilled. So where does the silver come from? The picture shows the parents. The only differences in them now is that the rooster's comb is winter dubbed and his tail is molting white.

A goose walked into a bar carrying a ton of dynamite and hand grenades He started throwing them and lighting the dynamite... Killing 403 people... At the goose's trial, Nathan was a character witness for the goose, Claimed it was not is fault the people simply failed to run fast enough.......

Good morning all. So Jerry you mean real bullheads with whiskers -- not the ones with funny eyes.... Crappie queen. That's cute. That's right up there with bog queen if I do say so myself.
The calves are beautiful holm and I love layers.
White fuzz was picked up for the most part. DS had interview for a summer mowing job. So a busy night for him.

Plus made home made ice cream from glorious orange yolked free range eggs last night. Wow is that good ice cream.

Allergies getting my eyes a bit. Little bit grumpy when that happens.

@duluthralphiethis is one of the chicks I purchased from you. It is growing faster than the rest....any chance it is a different breed? Hatch date was April 6 or7. I am not upset by any means I'm just intrigued by its color patterns and want to get more next year. As it (hopefully she) is very docile and friendly not flighty.

Nice Calf Holm.... and more home made butter for 9 months!

BTW I have never seen a play by play called on a calf being born. Great work.


BC, good luck on the day, may your Benadryl be active and plentiful. When Jerry said real bullheads I assumed he meant the dark black ones with whiskers and horns. I might go catch me a mess of them this summer from the river or from Ivie's deck to fry up. The little ones are not a lot of meat but tasty morsels. Maybe Mr. Ivie would sit there with me and drink beer while we fish and I could educate him on living with détente with Tom Hanks.

I am hopeful my truck will come out of the shop today. Then I can get on with the other projects I have on my plate.....BTW I think the WWD is hinting I hang a "make up" mirror and a new towel rack in the bathroom. When I showered and went to brush my teeth, I found the mirror and towel rack setting across the sink blocking it from me. I carefully set them aside. They have now dropped lower on the list.
