Sex 3 week old ameraucana

I haven't been too big on asking the gender of young chickens, but our last straight run of 2 chickens I ended up with 2 roosters and we don't have the ability to "hide" another! I want to be able to make the swap while the babies are little and non combative for the most part, if we have to.

The other chick is a definite girl, easter egger.

I feel about 65% sure this is a pullet. Born around halloween.

Way too young to tell yet. When it comes to true Ameraucana, it can take a few months to be certain of gender.

I agree. I would suggest re-posting its pic again in about 6 weeks.

Too young to tell.

Breeder of Dutch bantams, Wyandotte bantams, and a few exhibition rabbits.

Feel free to ask me questions about chicken and rabbit care, breeds, and showing! I'm always happy to help!

Nature's first green is gold,

Her hardest hue to hold.

Her early leaf's a flower

But only so an hour.

Then leaf subsides to leaf.

So Eden sank to grief,

So dawn goes down to day.

Nothing gold can stay. --Robert Frost
