There are so many new members on this board. It must be much easier to find when doing a google search than the old BYC EZ Borad. Its great to see so many new faces and different parts of the country. All potential addicts, yeah!

I was thinking the same thing.

I love to see people finding our great community and joining!

What's interesting is looking at the number of "Guests" that are logged in (you can see this on the main forum index page). I wish all those people would convert from "lurkers" into full blown members (yeah... I'm talking to YOU!)

We've got a really great group of people and it sure is fun to see it grow!

Does anyone have information about how to put an avatar under your name? I want to have one but don't know how.
OK I looked at it better and figured out how to do it, but I don't know how to resize my photo. How do I do that?

Yay! I figured it out, I added a signature too. Unfortunately it made me crop the picture. The cute part was that the chicken in the pic was standing on one leg, and that part was cropped out, so now I'll have to find a new better pic.
OK, I chose a pic I took of a flower, I can already tell I'm going to change this a million times before I make up my mind! I've only had my digital camera for 3 years and have over 5,000 pics! AHHHHH!!

Why thank you Jaynie!....and everyone else, too. I was glad to have found you.
My husband and I are building a chicken coop for about 25-35 chickens. I grew up on a farm and missed them. Now that I finally have property (we've been here in Boaz since 8/06) I get to have my babies again - after 25 years of not having them.
They can help me in my garden - pest control!

You got me.. I'm a lurker. I've been using BYC for info for almost a year now. Just when i need info and go to register..well.. someone beats me to the question!! I live in SE Michigan and I am a stepmom to 4 chickens. They belong to my neighbor and I help take care of them when she is out of town. Really want my own coop but I need to run juice and water to my barn first. My other source of info is a mag that I pick up at TSC called " Practical Poultry" that is out of the UK.

I have a few copies of Pratical Poultry, I love that mag.
They had a coop in one issue that the coop was setting on what looked like concrete mushrooms.
I have look everywhere I could thing of for concrete mushrooms, have not been able to find them.
