2016 Gosling Hatch-a-long

Last night, every time I checked on baby gosling she was eating or drinking. I don't know what to think about her. She is still so small and a week old! Here's a pic. She is a Seb. Can you tell if she's a he or she? I guess only time will tell with her outcome.
She is awfully small but I've a tiny gosling too who isn't growing but after a month they will grow rapidly. Runts can be suprising ;) What colour is it?

jimwie, I agree that it is awfully small for a week old, another sign of issues with thriving. It appears that one of the baby chicks I just got from feed store has the same problem. It eats/drinks/poops and peeps, but mostly sleeps, is lethargic when awake and not growing. The other one, thankfully, is bouncing off walls and growing like a weed.

It has not been a fun spring so far at our place. My 4yo white African female finally succumbed to chronic repro problems yesterday. It was not a huge surprise but nevertheless feels like a big loss. In hatching news, one of the white eggs (hers) has not turned into proper position so hopes for that one hatching are slim. At least the other egg (from my remaining white female) looks like it is in textbook position and should internally pip tonight.

Serv, congrats on a great season and I love your buff babies! Hope you stick around and post pics of them as they grow up!

Sorry to hear about the losses lain. I'm still hoping for the best. After getting high hopes and finally a hatch after 30 days, it's certainly disappointing. I have 5 kids (people kids that is). I can't imagine a parent with problems with them when I'm freaking about a goose.
Thanks for the replies. They are appreciated.
