I will say if you have the B**ls to try and get some eggs from a wild pair please have someone film it . so we can all have a great laugh here on BYC I have Mute, Australian Black, and Trumpeter and I will tell you what the mutes are meaner then my dogs and the other two are close to it when they have eggs you do NOT get in the pen they will kill you or hurt you bad. PS it takes 2 yrs for swans to lay eggs.
 
My in-laws had 2 swans at their last place. Huge pond, and the buggers would go out in the road and sit there - wouldn't move for cars or anything! Then they would go into the pond across the street, that was a 1/4 the size of the pond they were supposed to be in

They also got very nasty after a while. It got to the point where they were walking around with brooms to keep the swans at bay

i live in WAREHAM MA.every year we have a swan fest in my town whe the swans arive.every year there are more and more.twentyears ago you would have not seen any. now wehave about a hundred or more.that come to nest.have fun trying to get one egg you my not get out alivethey are beautiful!!. but verry dangerous.and i beleve the are protected.
 
I'll have 2 then, they are close to me in Mass, over 100 swans, that must look great with so many babies around...
 
I sold mine on cl for $250 each. Might have been me ya saw! ;)

But really I did around xmas time. A guy drove up from texas (im in michigan) to get them. They where brothers and the guy had a pair of females for them on a fenced in 5 acre pond back in tx.
I miss them but wont miss their HUGE poops! They where nice to me and my sister but that was it. Otherwise hated everyone. They really hated diesels and would chase the wreckers and tractor. Lol
Lady by me sells babies for $100 each un sexed. Thats how I got mine :)
