Malpositioned pip, help ASAP please.

I finally helped the leghorn. I pulled a couple pieces of shell off and found DRY membrane underneath. I moistened that and put him backin the bator. A couple hours later he finished zipping and hatched. You can definitely tell by the goo on his head that he was not correctly positioned!

Do you see in the first pics of this thread how circles have been drawn on the fat end of the egg? That's where the air cell has been traced. You want chicks to pip into the air cell first to get that first breath, then they should break out from there. But chicks don't always do what they're supposed to...
In the learning center, there is a very good article about incubating and hatching eggs.
