The saddest part of the movie was when they ate Adweena....

It also pulled at my heartstrings the way the hens were treated as "egg machines" with quotas to fulfill and then meat afterwards. But there was a happy ending, at least!

Yup! I had a hen named Adweena. Thats where I got the name

Haha, I've seen it a couple times.

You are right. It's sad to think that most people in real life think that way towards chickens. "If they stop laying eggs butcher them" I mean they are chickens but all life matters, I find it sad because each day there's so many chickens and other animals that get butchered. I don't know if this will ever happen, but one day I'd like to save at least three chickens from a place like that. I know some people who try to rescue chickens like that, and I'd like to save and give them better life's.
