Duckling with sore foot/feet

We spontaneously bought 2 Muscovy ducks a couple of weeks ago at a market. We have already fallen in love with them as they are the cutest, most affectionate birds we have ever had. They started off in a cage with straw at night and have been allowed to roam free during the day when we are home, and we gradually introduced them to the chooks and they have now being sleeping in there the past few nights without any dramas. Today when I let them out I noticed 'Bob' is limping a little, but hard to know if one foot is sore or both. One foot looks a little swollen and both are much warmer to touch than his mate 'Pip's feet. No obvious injury apart from a small round circle on top of one foot near the middle toe. Not sure if he had stepped on something or maybe one of the chooks pecked it, but there isn't an opened would top or bottom.

Any ideas?
 
It kind of sounds like he might be getting bumble foot but I'm not sure. I've never had a duck get it so I've never had to deal with it or seen it in person but I have researched it. I still don't know much about bumble foot though so you should probably look into it.

Sounds like bumble foot. You need to soak the ducks foot that's sore in Epsom salt water 2 times a day. If you do this for about 10 days it should get better
 
I think you are both right, as a few hours after posting it was looking more like bumble foot on both, but one worse than the other. Have had quail with bumble foot, but think the webbing has made it look a bit different to what I am use to. They both slept back in their cage last night with straw and it is less swollen and red today and he is hardly limping, but the spot has become necrotic, (dead tissue), so not sure if that is a major concern or if it will just come off as new tissue grows.

Will go and give him a foot bath now. How long should I soak for and is it a concern if he drinks the water with Epsom salt in it? Plan on just using a small dish so that hopefully he won't/can't drink it as I soak his feet, but want to know how careful I need to be. Have never had to treat bumble foot on our quails as they have always spontaneously healed.

people I know fill up kitty pools so they can just walk in it. And for about 10 minutes twuce a day
 
Unfortunately I no longer think it's bumble foot as it's looking more like what this duck has.

Black spot has grown a little in size, bigger than spot in second photo but nothing like the first photo....yet. Have started treating with Epsom salt bathes, antiseptic ointment and oral AB's this morning which is all I can get without going to the vet in Australia as we have pretty tight regulations on what you can buy over the counter. And unfortunately I think Pip may be developing the same problem as she has two small whitish spots on one of her feet which is how Bob's started out. Oh, and Bob has a tiny black spot on other foot too.

I'm not feeling too confident about saving these two gorgeous duckies right now.
