Hi there all! I am new to raising chicks so I am hoping for some feedback. I got this lil chick about a week ago from my local feed store. I was told it is a white leghorn pullet. The crown on this lil chick is more pronounced then that of my other chicks. This chick is 2 weeks old. While I know it is still very early to be certain of the sex, can anyone offer me some feedback? Thanks in advance!

It is too early yet to determine gender. The combs on white leghorns tend to develop quite rapidly, in pullets as well as cockerels -- more than size of the comb the color of the comb is what I consider and in your bird it is still a nice pale comb, if it starts to pink up(and/or you see wattle development that is also pinking up) before about 12/14 weeks that is when to be concerned.
