When will our Emuss start laying Eggs?

So our Emus turned 3 years this Feb, so their are abit over 3 yrs now, we got two of them and we are fairly certain they are females due to not grunting only drumming. Basicly thats all we go on since we are sort of beginners on them even though we´ve kept them for 3 years.
But shouldt they start dropping some eggs soon?
Also should add we live in Sweden so i dont really know in wich season they start in.
 
the laying season is coming to an end sadly it starts in November and it ends in march. there at that age they should lay now ....HOWEVER ....i am not sure females will lay without a male present. some people say they do but many say they will not! it might be best to get some chicks or maybe find an adult male or 2 depending on if you want pairs or a trio. but you can get them sexed http://www.avianbiotech.com/Feathers.htm there is one in the UK i think.
 
Okey I Understand, pretty sure they are females due to drumming so its prolly the lack of a male present then :/ oh shoot :p
 
yea and the people who say there females lay with out males usually have a male somewhere just not IN the pen with the females! thats what i have is 2 females! just had them sexed in the fall with that sexing place i linked to you! now i just bought 4 chicks and am going to buy 3 more today! lucky me i live within driving distance to 2 people who raise them! only sad part is now that i have these chicks ill have to wait 2 years before the breeding begins! LOL
 
Yeah Emus are kinda rare around here, might be hard to find a male, and my two femlaes fight nonstop so they are seperated now, would be nice to see how one of them would react to a male.
 
females tend to be more of the aggressive ones! some people have them in trios but alot of them just in pairs because the females just fight so much...glad you separated them!! well i dont know how it works there BUT you can find like a local selling place or auction or just put an add out. nows the time you can find chicks for sale. How did you get your 2 females?
 
Yeah thats the way to go i guess, I bought mines as chicks, worked great together until they became mature, then they where sworn enemies they even went over each others fences just to fight. I guess its techincly against the law to keep them alone here, but these are not your avarage chicken. Cause they will kill eachother, we had a third one i managed to hatch from egg the year after we got these 2, and she aswell was great as chick and juvenile then she became even crazier than the others. I had the wrestle her, so we had to put her down :(

The two i have now are great with Humans, i can "cuddle" with them with ease and im not afraid of them at all, they just hate their own race :p Hence why im worried how they would react to a new male entering the area

So i thought hey atleast maybe they could produce some egg for fun since they are nothing but troublemakers hehe, buuuut i guess i can forget that idea :p
