Strange growth on stomach/umbilical.

I picked up a few chicks including this little brabanter. He's active and eating and drinking, but appears to be a bit rusty. It gets pasty butt quite often but I noticed it's tummy sticking out of its skin... can this heal or is it a lost cause.

I've been watching it and it seems to be doing OK, I clean up the poop that builds up around it except one very stubborn drown piece on the side of the tummy that I can't remove without it peeping like crazy. The pasty butt is still a problem due to it collecting around the rough naval. Any recommendations would be helpful.
