PVC pipe feeder

I have one that I use for oyster shell. The chickens kept kicking pine shavings in the can attached to the wall in the coop. Probl

em solved.

I haven't read through all of these posts but hoping someone will chime in. Will one of these feeders help keep shavings out? I have silkie chicks and they are constantly digging and throwing shavings and are deeply covering their food. Would this help?

Could someone tell me what the metal strapping is you use to attach it to the wall? And where would I find it in Lowe's? When I tried to describe it to an employee, they were clueless, and I didn't have time to hunt it down

Go to where they sell the conduit that's what it looks like to me the straps you use to keep it where you want it....I just used gutter when I hooked mine to the wall it works great and we use wire to keep my 4" pvc feeders standing upright I use whatever I can find in the shop much to my hubby's distress sometimes....

I've found it's best to put feeders and waterers up high so the birds don't kick so much shavings in them. Also, if they have to stretch their necks a little they don't "bill out" onto the floor. If you have some smaller chickens, give them a brick or a block of wood to step up on so they can reach.

You could use Plumber's strap, wchich comes by the roll (plumbing), or conduit strapping (electrical)

Check in the fencing department, or go to the the area where they sell nails and hardware.

7LFarm's photo shows straps that are in the plumbing or electrical dept. They're made for several different sized pipes or conduits. Ask for conduit straps, or PVC mounting straps.
