Transporting baby chicks

Hi, I need to transport 2 week old chicks for 25 minutes and 25 minutes back. Would it be bad to do it? There will be a few hours between the trips. They will have the lamp after the first 25 minutes. Will this be okay for them? There are 6 chicks.
 
How cold is it where you are? How many adult feathers do they have? I suspect they will be fine, if they have heat for the time in beween the drives and a place to snuggle for the drive (set up cave with a box and towel. Six of them can produce a lot of heat.
 
It's about 53 degrees right now. They have some feathers but I can put the heat on in the car. Is that okay enough? My main concern is stress.

I would just try not to let the box bounce around. When I bought my chicks, I had a 45 minute drive home and they were only 3 days old. They would be fine until anything moved the box, then back to scared and chirping. They will likely get a little stressed, but you can keep them fairly comfy.

X 2 -- if you consider the conditions they experience while being shipped, a nice, comparatively quiet ride is nothing --- darkness helps to keep them calm, and closing up the box helps to lessen drafts and help them keep what heat they produce in their small area to keep each other warm.
