our valentine (goat) was born Feb 12th she will 8 wks friday, she spends 12 or more hours a day in the enclosure with the others she eats from the trough, and i show her where the water is every day. Saturday she will start full time with the other goats i will bring out her 6oz bottles X2 daily to her for about 2 weeks, and monitor her progress. i don't know who it will bother more me or her, its that she was spending nights in the house in a kennel, and she is getting too noisy and makes one heck of a mess with the pee pads, food ,and water.
I guess its time. sound good to every one this is my first go round.

That sounds like a pretty good plan! Chances are, you will be more bothered by the weaning than she wil! She'll likely settle in with the others soon enough.

You will probably not have to give her milk after a day or two, but you can as long as she will drink it.

I'm impressed 8 weeks in the house at night would be tough.

actually she was very good, we partially covered the kennel, and when the lights went out she remained quiet, she was a content little goat.

good, I started her at about three weeks taking her to the pen for about 15 min at a time supervised, as time went on I increased the time unsupervised until 6 weeks she started staying out 12 hrs a day, at just after 8 wks. she is now 24-7 she seems to be doing o.k. for now she gets her 6oz bottle a.m. and p.m., she has no problem eating out of the trough.
