Back in the olden days my Dad and I built a few incubators. The turners we made were manually operated from outside the incubators. I've started to build a new incubator and would like to have an automatic egg turner. Of the store-bought types, which ones hold up the best? I'll be turning about 120 chicken eggs max.
I'm not too crazy about the dinky little motors I see on most models. If I build my own automatic egg turner, I'd like a motor that is built a little more robust? I don't want a motor that turns too many RPMs and I'd have to gear it down. I'd much prefer one that turns 1 RPH max. Less if possible.
What motors are you DIY guys using on y'alls incubators?
