We got her snuggled up in a kennel we have her with food and water already and we have cleaned the wound. I would just like to know about any steps we may have missed or some advice. The chick got through the fence and our dog Mocha was chasing it when I came outside to care for our fowl. She always picks it up carefully and dropped it carefully when we told her to. Let me provide photos of both the dog and the chick + wound.

So sorry! We had a dog attack a few months ago, and had to hens injured. I don't know if it's safe for chicks, but after we cleaned our hen's wounds with saline, we used rooster booster poultry wound spray. It's about sixteen dollars, and you can get it at tractor supply. Just make sure it's safe for chicks. Hope she feels better!

Also, there wounds looked just like that. And I accidentally spelled 2 as to! Stupid me!

Thanks for the tip! Our chick has been acting alot more normal since yesterday night. Hoping we can let her back in with her sisters soon she's been looking for them.

Here's an update on the chick and her injury.
Her injury has been healing quick so we should be able to put her back outside before the end of the week!
