I just got my new chicks in the mail. One of them is grabbing her wing and pulling at it, and it started bleeding. She will not stop pecking it. I tried various ways of wrapping her up in gauze and tape, but she manages to get out of all of them. Any ideas on how to stop her from pecking it?!
 
You could try blu kote. It covers up the red, so she at least won't be pecking at it because it's red and the others won't. I'm not sure how to make her stop completely, because it sounds like she was pecking at it before it was red.
 
I ended up sitting in the brooder for four hours straight to keep her from pecking at herself, and after I washed the wing to get rid of the caked blood, she slowly but surely stopped picking at it, and she is now perfectly fine. *whew*! :)
