Hello. one of my hens hatched 6 babies they are about a month 1/2 I think. :/ well one of the babies I have noticed has been lagging behind and acting a bit sluggish. I found her today near the other chicks and momma and picked her up and noticed her right leg was just hanging she was not using it at all.. the leg does not look broken but there is a wound at her hip area.. here are some pics.
The white stuff is antibiotic ointment.. the wound looks healed for the most part I just put it on just in case.. I am not sure if I should try and wrap her foot up so she does not put pressure on it or if I should just keep her apart and let her rest and hopefully heal on her own.. she probably needs the rest.. she has been running around trying to keep up with the group and has not given it time to heal..
any help would be great..
