Hi everyone!

I ordered chicks from Murray McMurray and MyPetChicken, both orders set to ship this week. I already called the post office to let them know I have live chicks coming and they said that they will call me to pick them up as soon as they arrive. This is my first time ordering chicks through the mail. Will the hatcheries e-mail me when the chicks ship and include a tracking number? I'm already nervous!

I'm sure everything will be great. I ordered 100 chicks from Schlecht Hatchery, a hatchery back east. I was all stressing out because they were kind enough to call me and tell me the chick's had shipped but the tracking number never arrived, and the babides were coming 2500 miles. The chick's still arrived on time and at this point they are 3.5 weeks. 50 Cornish X, 4 lost to this point but only one in shipment and 50 Ameraucana's with no losses.
