Three 5-Week-old Hen Chicks Available (Carlsbad, CA) - Free - Will deliver anywhere in San Diego Cou

We have three (3) 5-week-old hen chicks that need to be re-homed. These chicks were raised by two little girls that love them and want to see them go to a safe and caring environment.
We are looking for someone who knows how to SAFELY integrate such young chicks into their existing flock of laying hens (or) who want to start a new flock with these sweet little hen chicks.
The chicks are free and we will deliver them to you anywhere in San DiegoCounty.
Their breeds are:
- White Plymouth Rock Hen Chick
- Buff Wyandotte Hen Chick
- Standard Black Cochin Hen Chick

Are these current pictures? I am in Chula Vista with ten 4 week old chicks, these are my first chicks so I have never integrated before though but they should all be about the same size.

Hi urbanhippy,
Thank you for your interest! These photos were taken about 1.5 week ago at about 3.5 weeks old. The Standard Black Cochin chick is smaller than the other 2. They're bigger now, but should be comparable in size to your 4 week olds, since they're only about a week older than yours. The White Plymouth Rock Hen Chick (1st picture) is the biggest and is our dominant hen. When we got the chicks at 1 week old, she was the 2nd largest, but matured more quickly than the other 2. I can take new photos for you today if you like, and will try to include something in the photo for scale. I'll just need to figure out how to keep them still long enough to snap a photo

Are you still looking for these chick to be adopted?

I am completely new to the entire thought of having chickens and have to ask the obvious question, why are you getting rid of them?

I am in Carlsbad and we have no pets. As a family with 4 kids we go through eggs like laundry soap and I've always been weary of what is in them even after the whole SEFS thing..I think it would be a great thing for the kids, as well as sourcing some eggs that I know woudl be taken care of..

Hav u already found a home gor them? I am in mission bay and have 2 4wk old svarta hona chix that i would like to integrate them into. I also have 5 6month old chickens and they live by nigbt in a 14x12 ft cooo and by day they get to roam my 1/4 acre garden. 858-349-2769

I am not sure whether my 1st reply posted, so going to repost....i am very interested. I hav 2 Svarta Hona chix that r 4wks old and would like to put them all together. Currently my chix live indoors, but in 2-3 wks i will move them outdoors to my coop with is 14x12ft. I hav 5 6month old chickens there now. By day, my chickens roam my near 1/4acre garden. Ur girls would be welcome to visit them anytime. I live in mission bay. Thanks.

Do you still have the black Cochin chick by any chance?
