I have no idea! There are not standard colors of these, so I guess we shall see. I've got a nice assortment so far!

How are your broody silkies doing?

Either I've got a really kinky pair of Silkies or he can't distinguish the poof on her head from the one at the rear.

Problem is, I don't expose much bare skin to the sun these days. big_smile.png

Can't abide being in the sun personally - had a few good t-shirts tans from my working days, but not through choice. Never the hotdog smile.png

The kinky one is laying again. The other one is sitting on three eggs. It took me a while to convince Princess and the Pea that she was supposed to sit ON the eggs not just in close proximity. She kept telling me it was uncomfortable and I tried to explain the incubation process. I thinks she's finally got it now.

2 still have pips and "should" hatch. Of the remaining 5, I pulled one when I got some chicks out and it was dead. I suspect 3 others dead. The last one, I have not decided yet, but they will stay in for a while longer.

Serama have a lethal gene which usually kills 25% of the chicks. Plus throw in the shipping variable, and I consider myself very lucky right now. I am very happy with my results already, even if no more hatch.

Yayyyyy!!
