Our ducklings are going to be 12 weeks old Monday. They are living in their outside house with a water source. Since they have never been exposed to cold cold temperatures until last night and it was sudden from 85 degrees in the daytime, we turned on a red heat lamp. Well, well, well.... our girls decided it was slumber party time and played all night long in their water and were awake all night long. So much for the red heat lamp. We decided we must switch out to a ceramic bulb so they stop being night time party girls. (Just in case you have similar problems raising ducklings).
