So my mother and I picked up seven, little silkie chicks today while out getting quail eggs and appleyard eggs. All of them are fine except one, who appears to have a broken or sprained wing. I think it happened when I put them in the brooder with the other chicks and I feel terrible 
One of the joints is swollen to two or three times the joint on the other side. The chick can walk around and such, but is most just sitting around looking miserable. I removed him/her and my little pullet silkie, Martha (said chick's sister) and they are currently nestled up with me sleeping, but what else can I do for the little one? A tiny, chick splint? How does one splint a chick's wing?
