Dry Duck Sitting on Eggs

I have 2 ducks sitting on eggs at the moment. They do not have a pool because they use a bucket of water to dip their head in. Although it is normally very damp in England, at the moment it is very dry. I was just wondering, since their bellies are not getting wet, will it be damp enough for the eggs to hatch? Also, they are sitting on them outside of the duck house so the eggs are outside alone over night when the ducks go to bed inside the duck house. Will it get too cold for the eggs over night? Should I move the eggs into the house or will the ducks get confused? Any help or suggestions are appreciated.

The eggs aren't going to hatch if the ducks aren't sitting on the eggs 24/7 for the full 28 days or 35 if Muscovy. My Muscovy's can get pretty wet by using a bucket but they much prefer the pool when brooding. I'd move the eggs along with the nest inside their house it's a risk but your never going to get ducklings the way your doing it now.

Well I just found out that they are not going into their duck house at night. Not to worry, they are protected by a fence with an electric fence in front of that. There are now 4 ducks sitting

! It must be the trend at the moment lol. I do hope that the bucket of water will be enough moisture for the eggs. We will see in a month! Thanks again for your help!

Can you not find them something they can climb into to get wet? a tub of some kind or even a small kiddy pool? If not your going to need alot of buckets mine can empty one in no time bathing in it and this is just standing on the side splashing. lol
 
This was my initial worry. They are Indian Runner ducks. There are plenty of buckets but they don't swim in them. They learned from a young age (from watching the goose) to dip their head in the water and that is how they clean themselves rather than going for a swim in the pond. Now they seem to have no interest to go into ponds/pools whatsoever. I will try to find something suitable, put it next to them and hope for the best.
