Duck hatch help please

I've read through so many threads, but it as hoping to get some help! My ONE surviving duck egg (not sure of day as it was under a broody hen in the coop for about 2 weeks) internally pipped over 48 hours ago. The egg has been frantically rocking and pecking noise with no progress. This morning I started making a tiny safety hole and could immediately see his little beak. After chipping a little more it appears that he is stuck. His inner membrane is dry and like paper. I tried take a picture, but it is difficult to see.. any advice on if I should go ahead and intervene?

You guys will not believe this, but my power is out now too! I'm panicked :( Apparently our main breaker just blew.. help pretty pretty please :(
 
A good picture is really necessary here. Is it pipped at the correct end (fat end)? How much did you peel away? If the membrane is dry, you can try wrapping the egg in a damp paper towel. I am not a very experienced hatcher, but I know @Lacrystol has talked many people through their hatches. @casportpony and @learycow are also experienced hatchers and very knowledgeable. Hopefully someone will chime in. Best of luck!

Thank you! Since the incubator is currently not working with no power I have him in my bathroom with the hot shower running.. I posted a picture, but I'm not sure it posted correctly..
 
It looks like it's pipped at the right end. Can you shine a light in to see if there is any yolk sac left, or if the veins have absorbed? If they haven't, it's not ready to come out yet. Also look and see if it looks dry. Dry membrane will sometimes trap a baby in the Shell. Getting the humidity up and keeping the membrane moist will help.

It sounds like all the elements of the universe are against you :( don't give up yet. Hopefully someone who knows more will help soon.
 
Also, do you have a warm brooder set up and ready for when he hatches? If he makes it, he will be exhausted and need a warm place to rest and recover. No food or water will be necessary for the first few hours.

Ideally, you want to leave them in the incubator for a while after they hatch, but if your power is out, that definitely complicates things. Seems like you're doing the best you can. You may need to use your own body heat as the brooder or incubator until the power comes back on.... I really don't know :(
