OH now you've gone and done it Tuff! Now I'm going to be forced to buy an incubator come spring so I can see just how well pullet bullets hatch! That's the excuse I'm gonna give my SO anyhow.

I have 2 buttercups that lay white torpedo eggs.I hatched one last year and got a nice pullet that was crossed with my SLW roo.She lays a creamy colored egg like her mother.

I've been getting a white one that looks more like a triangle shape.
Very pointed on one end and more round on the other end. I only have three chicken that lay white, but I haven't figured out who's laying it yet.

I need to get a picture of those eggs to post.

I have a mottled cochin pullet that lays like that and have only had a couple of them hatch. They are very narrow and the chicks can't turn, they are skinny and sorry looking and weak when they hatch. I have one that is a week old and its buddy is an A size serama chick that is two weeks older and they seem the same to me, except the serama is WAY stronger. I will keep trying to hatch them because OF COURSE it is my most beautiful hen!!!

Ours hatch just like the others, kinda hit and miss (mainly cause we have so many in the incubator at one time, thanx Jim)..
I've found that the more they lay, the stronger chance of the chick hatching. The first one hawk layed, hatched, and survived... the next few that hatched , there were some that didnt, but the chicks seemed sturdier then the first ones... Dunno for sure what was or is the prob...
But they are just somewhat abnormally shaped normal eggs....
