I got 3 polishes this spring and I absolutely love them. We affectionately call them our floof heads. Two of them have smaller crests, and can generally see without a problem. The third however, has a ginormous floppy crest and can barely see - only down and about two inches ahead of her, I'm pretty sure. It figures she's also the most daring and adverture-y-ist. Twice now she hasn't turned up when I put everybody away and I've had to go find her. Both times she's been lost out in our grove, sitting and waiting for us to find her. Is there anything I can do to keep her from getting lost? I'm afraid one of these days we won't be able to find her before it gets dark.

Definitely give her crest a trim. I trim my buff laced a few times a year. When I had the white crested varieties they could see well enough without my interventions, my buff laced need help to see as they are aggressive free rangers and need to see what's coming.
