Was looking at my two week old shamo chicks, and I noticed they all had a strange bump near the neck. Is there something wrong with them?

You are seeing their full crops. They are little piggies. Check them in the morning, and the crops should be empty, unless they are under a heat lamp, and are up eating all night. If they are acting fine, all is well. Are you feeding them anything other than chick starter? If so, they need grit. also, if you are giving them greens, be sure it is finely chopped so they don't bet the greens balled up in their crops.

Yep, they always have a plentiful supply of grit. I hang up broccolis and give them fruit (you can see the strawberries in the pic) occasionally. They also get to have ~20 minutes outside every day. I think the problem was the hemp bedding. I noticed that they were eating less feed than usual and, even when I gave them treats, they were a bit half-hearted. Took all the bedding out, gave them a load of water kefir grains and (very) lightly massaged their crops with olive oil. Poo started coming out with bits of bedding in it and, in the morning, their crops looked good.
