The Funny Farm....Alberta, Canada
I vowed this year that I would not get another Cockerel/Rooster.....Well, I did YESTERDAY....He is an Ameruacana/Brahma...Beautiful...Anyways..My friend that took him decided on another Cockerel so he was set for slaughter...I felt bad and took him instead of having him culled..He was a cute little bugger when I got him back in July...He was sold a week later..Now a big pretty Cockerel...
Anyways.....I kept him in my garage over night..Gave him an Antibiotic drink and left him...Winter is her so the garage is not an option long term here in Alberta...I put him out in the yard, in a look no touch pen as the pullets free ranged...No one noticed him....I opened the crate door and let him out...No one noticed him....He wandered around till my Speckled Sussex got interested, they pecked each other and that was it! He is now in with the Ladies as if he never LEFT....He even seemed to know where the Coop door was and went right into the coop and out the pop door to the run, came back in and roosted a bit...They are all around 20 to 24 weeks, He would be 20 weeks...I always said my Birds are smart...lol! Am I crazy?

Cheers!

I am sure you have some info, insight or some sort of helpful replies to why this happened...Usually Birds Fight..Am I right? Look no touch for a week?
