What age did your roo start crowing?

Yea!! Glad to hear he grew into his crow :). When mine started crowing, he sounded like a teenager whose voice was still squeaking! Both of them have full crows now!

. I had a beautiful 11 week old barred rock cockerel got mixed up with chicks order, so sad we had to say "Sayonara". A year ago we had this gorgeous French black copper Marans started a pathetic crow @14 wks, luckily a friend adopted him.

Thats funny,was it a terrible?

I remember my one of my cockerels first crow was perfect.

Yes, his crow was a funny noise like someone in pain....LOL! He did not crow at all today.
I hope he is a quiet roo. I will keep him. He is so pretty and a sweet boy. My neighbors have been used to hearing hens make noise when they lay for the last 9 years. They haven't heard a roo before. We are non deed restricted in a rural area neighborhood.

I will see how it goes. How much do roos crow?

Do they crow during the night? Or mainly morning?

Roosters crow all day. Some more frequent then others. Some people have probably with very dominate roosters who crow at night super early morning hours, non stop throughout the day etc.My roo's usually start at about 4:00,4:30,and I can hear them crow all the way up until six, stop for a awhile then when I let them out, start up again, stop,a few hours later one starts, then the other 30 minutes later starts.

When you have 2,you tend to here more crowing, roosters have crowing comps.

All depends on the roo. Some crow all day long, others only crow early morning or late night. They usually crow more when competing with other nearby roos in a sort of "crow off" :p but since you have no other roos that shouldn't be a concern.
