Hi Everyone!! So I have large fowl Red Pyle Modern Games, and I recently bred them. Out of the clutch, we had a sweet little pullet hatch! She is about 2 months now, and is officially moving out of the brooder this week! I do have a question, though. She has all white feathers with some random black patches on her wings and body. Will she outgrow this or will she have these for a while? She also has none of the light golden color her mother has. I am planning on showing her next summer at the fair, and would like her to do well! Both of her parents are breed and class Champion/Reserve. I will post some pictures for reference. I am pretty sure that she will outgrow them, but just wanted some second opinions! Thank you!
 
Pictures would help, as what you seem to describe- an entirely white bird with random black flecks could be 'read' as one of your red pyles crossed with something solid black.

Usually if they have not disappeared by the first adult molt the black flecks are a permanent feature. The details(shape, location, size) may change from molt to molt.

I agree with Kev.

The reddish color or red color should appear as the bird ages and molts into its adult plumage color. In the case of dominant white birds, more red or reddish color will show as the chick matures.

Your chicks should be solid white- with maybe some black flecks in the tail and flight feathers. Patches of black on the body are not a good sign. I have worked with dominant white before and black on the body was a sign that the bird was a black ground color under the white. Your birds should be black breasted red under the white.
 
I finally have pictures! I also do believe that she is actually a he! I am almost completely positive now that Checkmate(the bird) is a cockerel. Checkmate is predominantly white, with the various black patches as seen in the photos. In case the photos don't go through, there is some black on the head, body, saddle, tailfeathers, primaries, and a patch on the inside of the leg. Checkmate's father, Copper, has a few patches on his body, but it os overshadowed by his red and copper feathering. Thanks all!!!!

That is not a red pyle. It perfectly matches something from a red pyle crossed with a black chicken.

Chicks either cream colored or cream with random black spot, feathering out white or white with random black feathers. Common for cockerels to eventually show some red on the wings, might show some on neck and saddle later but it is still not a pyle.. it is exactly the same as say, RIR bred with australorp.. minus the dominant white. Actually a red sex link bred with australorp rooster would show color same as yours.


Either he is a cross bred or your red pyle pair is not actual red pyle- either one bird or both. Pictures of the pyle pair?
