So exciting. Looking forward to seeing the lil ones

I've gotten one egg, that was on the 14th, something has been eating the rest before I can get them collected. I'm assuming a rat or a squirrel, i know it has to be a rodent of some sort. Beyond aggravated! I thought I was going to get an early hatch this year. Had a problem with squirrels getting them last year.

I had a possum getting mine but I took care of it.

I just set 6 Toulouse eggs in the incubator yesterday. These are my geese's first eggs ever. They're about a year old. They made a nest in my goat's hutch. I hope they don't move the nest now that I've taken their eggs?

I've got the eggs on their sides and I don't have a turner, I usually tip the whole incubator several times a day. I guess I'll turn them by hand once a day and mist them since that seems to be what everyone else does.

I've been told goose eggs are hard to hatch so I'm being realistic as far as hatch rate goes. I'll be happy if I get even one to hatch! I just wish they didn't take so long to hatch, I'm very impatient!

Really chomping at the bit to start up the incubator and hatch some eggs. I only have 2 eggs so far of course, really debating on popping those two in but I really would like to have more than that. I don't like the chances of one possibly not developing and having a lone gosling. I am dealing with the problem that's causing no eggs.
On a better note my rabbit had her babies Sunday the 26th. Two light/white ones, 1 blue gray and 1 blue gray spotted(broken is the term I think). They are "plush" lops, Rex crossed with holland lop.
This is their first baby pics.

Congrats on the naked as lil jay bird bunnies. Would love to see the parents so we can see what they naked ones will look like.

I have 3 geese, 2 are female, the younger lays about every 40 hours and the older about every 52, the youngest has laid 11 and the older has 4 now (not sure where she was laying but I'm sure the dog found them grrrr). When do they start sitting on them to hatch? The only time I've noticed them on eggs is when they lay, I have noticed they are sitting longer with each egg but they will not stay with them. Should I buy an incubator? Does anyone know how to tell how old they are?
