Im wondering what breeds of pigeons and doves you guys have. I have Homers and Modenas (and a parlor roller and a couple of common pigeons)
I have one homer that I was given since I am new to the hobby out of Jozef Boemans loft. Shes one of my favorite hens
. <--Blue bar is her

Both of my Modenas are in there too, both are red tri gazzis.

Here is a better picture of one of my Modenas

i wish I had a good picture of my goofy roller but I dont. A lot of my homers look pretty similar to the hen I posted above, the cocks are of course bigger. I also have one with a really short beak. Hes kinda goofy looking I think.

Hi, and welcome to the pigeon world, lovely birds you have there :D

I've been raising pigeons for the past 10 years (since I was 12-13) and my dad and grandpa before me. My granddad bred Giant English Pouters and Texans and my dad used to have some really nice small English Pouters and Homers.

They no longer have those, but I currently have Standard Homers (not sure how to call the breed in english) in a variety of colors. I've been experimenting with icy pigeons and I'm in the proces of making some dun birds, we'll se how it turns out.

Oooohh i love that last birds color! I just have the basic colors, blue check, blue bar, a t-check, and some cooler colors like a red saddle, a blue splash, and a red grizzle. I want to say that in homers are just homers, or racing homers if theyre for racing. I just call mine homers.

Well the ones I have are sort of "show homers", I have them in many solid colors (red, yellow, black, andalusian) and other varieties (silver bar, icy bar, yellow ash bar, ash bar, blue bar, ash spread etc). I'm trying to cull on the ash reds and breed more "pure" solid colors, but it's not that easy :D It's fun to have a colorful loft though :)

I raise Birmingham Rollers. Have had them off and on for 55 years. I find them as interesting and fun today as when I got my first ones. And I learn something new about them all the time. Here are a few of them enjoying their favorite treat, bread! It never occurred to me till a couple years ago that they might like it and boy do they ever.

I have a Voorburg Pouter, Highflyer, Modena, Lahore, Birmingham Rollers, Feral hen, Egyptian Swift, Oriental Roller, Kormona, and two mix breeds.
