Backyard females showing up with injured legs

I enjoy a group of Muscovies that visit my backyard daily. A week ago one female came with a bad right leg that she couldn't put weight on. A few days later a second female showed up with a bad right leg. I thought it was odd. But then a day later, a third female showed up with the exact same problem. Same leg. What could be happening to them? Just yesterday, the last one with the problem flew in with two injured legs and now she can't get around on land at all. The males are all fine. I'm puzzled.

There were no wounds visible. They just pulled up the legs so they would not touch the ground and folded up their foot. The legs look a bit swollen.

are they limping or just standing on one leg?
Is there a pond around - could be snapping turtles. Males could be getting a little rough.

My ducks had a similar issue last year. It turned out to be an infection on their feet that was causing them pain. Is it possible that this could be happening with them? That would at least explain why they're all getting it.

I think it is more likely to be an injury than an infection but anything is possible. Are you thinking bumble foot? These are wild ducks who roam as they please so it's hard to know what it could be, but the fact that it is only females makes me think maybe there is a rogue male out there with some violent habits.

They do have a wide canal to swim in right out back with turtles in it. No snapping turtles have ever been seen there - just Florida softshells, and various cooters and sliders and there is nothing like a bite wound that I can see. Though if they did get even a small bite, an infection is certainly possible. But why just the girls and not the boys?

The first one with the problem is now unfolding her foot and putting it down a little, though she still limps terribly. The second one is still hobbling on her ankle with her foot bent under but seems a touch better. The last one with both bad legs is still a mess. She flies in several times a day and sits wherever she lands. We toss food to her which she eats. She then flies off into the water.

Luckily none of the other females have turned up in this condition. I am hopeful they will all recover eventually but at least they have been able to eat.
