And I'm trying to figure what to do with them.

They're tulips and hyacinths. I vaguely recall buying them last fall, intending to plant them in some metal planters to go outside the hay barn. Apparently, out of sight was out of mind

, I just ran across them in the barn today. They're starting to sprout. I went through and tossed the rotten looking ones, but I'm left with a fair amount of healthy looking bulbs.

I googled forcing bulbs, looks like I can simply plant them in soil in containers, or resting on rocks in water. There are too many to do that with all of them, I don't have that many containers or that much indoor space. Should there be an issue with putting them in containers and setting them outside? I'm thinking they had their chill period, the only difference is they were in the bag instead of in soil.

Any other ideas or experiences?

What is your long term plan for them? If you want some in pots, then pot them. But if you want them in your flower beds, you've got nothing to loose by planting them right in the flower beds... if the soil is thawed. Mine is still very much frozen, and will be for an other 6 weeks or so.

I didn't plan to put them in soil, cause we still have this plan to move

.

I went ahead and put some in containers in the house. I've got the rest back in the barn pending where to put them tomorrow.
