I have been ordering my quail game bird feed off amazon but it is costing too much.
I am wanting to buy some chicken layer feed and mix it with a high protein feed.
https://www.ufa.com/products/Livestock+Feed+Poultry-Feed/35-vegetable-layer-premix-1 <- this one comes in the options of krum or mash. Which one would be easier for a quail to eat?
I am thinking about mixing it with a 17% layer feed

I think this makes sense? I just don't want to be out $60 and find out that the pellets are too big and I need to grind them.
