Since my ducks are finally here, I thought I'd make them their own thread. This is where I'll be
posting about my flock from now on. Feel free to leave comments and give them some love.
Hopefully you love them as much as I do!

Here are all my wonderful birds for you to get to know! I purchased these eight Indian
Runner ducks from Metzer Farms in California. They hatched on April 3, 2017. At just two days
old, they would become better traveled than me! They survived the cross-country trip to get
all the way from California to Delaware, and in good health too! Boy am I glad that they did, ever
since they arrived they have stolen my heart.

Romaine Lettuce - ★★★★★
Blended into little pieces, minus the tough part of the leaf.

Grapes - ★★★★★
Seedless, chopped into little pieces, skins left on.  If I could give it a higher rating I would, they love them!

Dandelion - ★★★★
Just the leaf and flower petals were given.

Grass - ★★★★
Only young, soft grass.  Chopped into little pieces.

Banana -
Mashed.  Didn't like it at all.

Zucchini - ★★★
Diced, boiled, and then mashed.

Egg - ★★★★★
Scrambled, then cut into smaller pieces.  Once again, if I could give it a higher rating I would.

Bell Pepper - ★★★★
Diced and then blended into little pieces.  Idk if it matters, but they were red and yellow.

Carrots - ★★★★
Chopped into little pieces.

Strawberries - ★★★★★
Chopped into little pieces. Liked them almost as much as grapes.

Just a post to bring everyone up to speed in case they haven't met my ducks yet.

Yesterday my grandmother and I received eight perfect little runner ducklings from Metzer Farms in California (who I highly recommend by the way). We were so worried about their trip, I mean, how can day old ducklings survive a trip all the way across the country?! However, all arrived happy and healthy.

We got two fawn/white, two chocolate, two black, and two blue. All are females except for one little chocolate drake.

We have even been picking out names, but not everyone has one so feel free to give suggestions.

My birds are the two black and two blue ones. I was thinking of Hocus and Pocus for the two black ones. And Disco for one of the blues.

My grandmother likes the chocolates and fawn/whites. We've decided on Hershey for the little boy and Kisses for the chocolate girl (I know, real original lol!). The fawn/whites don't have names yet.

@Ducks4us - I love the names you picked out :) For the other blue I like Bryndle but for some reason it doesn't feel right for her.

Oddly enough we can tell our fawn/whites apart, one has a darker spot on it's face, maybe it will turn out to be pencilled. I'm having trouble knowing which ones are blue and which ones re chocolate. Except for one because Kisses is the one with the dot on her head.

oh thats good you can tell yours apart. i could for the first weekish. the as down came in they lost some color. they have all their chest feathers in now but all the same. one is a bit darker tho. and one has brown in her tail... i think that one will be evelyn .
hoping their pattern will be different on their heads or something lol

@WalkerNom , ducklings are here! We lost the little Blue Swedish, unfortunately

. I never got to meet her, but my dad said she was a sweet little thing. She just was so tired, and eventually she just fell asleep and didn't wake up.
On the other hand, the other two are doing great! Eating, drinking, pooping. Here's a picture my dad sent of everyone:

The one closer to the bottom was the Blue Swedish, who didn't make it.

Sorry for those of you who might be reading this for the second time. And for polluting your duckie thread, Walker. Yours are so cute! I love the names you picked out!
