Border collies ? update more help needed

I have one, a border collie/ australian shepard mix. she is a great dog and smart as a whip until her instinct take over and then she can't make herself listen.
She has like 30 toys and knows what each one is and can pick it out from the pile by name.
However, we have never used her for herding, so she is not trained in that area, so she needs fine tuned. She is 10 now and absolutely the BEST dog we have ever owned.

She does bark and go mad when the phone rings, and every time we get out of the bathroom after a shower, she HAS to chase the cat. I do not know why.

Sorry he didn't work out, Jennyhaschicks, and I think you did exactly the right thing in recognizing what it was going to take to handle him and giving him back - shows you are a responsible, caring and smart animal owner. My best wishes for you to have a peaceful home!

Border Collies are nice, though I've never owned any I have known quite a few.
All the border collies I've come across have been high drive, a bit mouthy, loads of energy, and hard to train - so say their owners.
I own/raise/breed Farm Collies they are incredibly smart, very good with all kinds of animals, they can herd, hunt, guard, nurture, make great companions, and they are super loyal.
Here are my 4 beloved working farm dogs.
