It never ceases to amaze how good Kaleb can be at times and then other times you just watch him waiting for his head to start spinning around! lol I get maybe 10 good days out of him a month, IF that and that is only cause daddy is home, soon as bobby leaves the horns come out!

This is my first time with turkeys and I hatched a Bourbon Red and a Blue Slate for breeding. I also bought 12 BBBs for holiday nom-noms. Well, of the 12, I have 5 left. Of the 5, the 2 toms have severely twisted legs. Tonight I went out and put pipe insulation on their legs with vet wrap to help give them support so they can at least get around. I don't think it's helping. I was told the BBBs are notorious for having leg issues (like a Cornish x meat chicken). Anyone raise any that had leg issues and they survived until Thanksgiving? These guys aren't even 2 months old.

sounds like some bad genetics,,,,,been raising a few of these for years and only ever had a few with bad legs......I would process these before losing them and get a few more, you can still get them up to weight by thanksgiving.
 
Blarney, you sure can get in on that,,,I am always willing to barter,,,,hubby is even trading a processed chicken with rose for a plate of brownies,,,,his favorite and I just can not make brownies they turn into rocks when I make them.

It's seems to be the opposite with Gavin. I swear he acts worse when Seth is here, either that or his bad behavior just stands out more when Seth is home.

ditto, I cut my neighbor's lawn for brownies....a good trade!
