Can a mini donkey live with pygmy goats?

i've heard that a female or gelding, maybe if older or housed with goats before. the donkeys tend to play too aggressively and may hurt the goats unintentionally especially if not gelded

The donkey needs to bond with the goats. Otherwise he may try to kill them. I don't think the sex of the donkey is as important as how he feels about the goats.
My neighbor has a reg sized gelded donkey in with all her goats - kids included
I've had several mini donkeys. And everyone wanted to play too rough and ended up swinging my nubians and pygmys by their necks. They also would get them on the ground, and really try to hurt them.
Needless and sadly to say my last donkey left for a new home last week.

the family down from me have 3 mini donkeys,pygmy goats and a bunch of mini horses all living together happily
My donkeys and goats all live together quite peacefully. Just introduce them through a fence like you would any equine before letting them out together and house seperately at feeding time. I would also keep young kids segregated from young donkeys because of the rough play.
I should mention that I run my goats with my little jenny herd. Geldings and my jack are in a seperate pasture. My jack is extremely tolerant and not aggressive to the goats, but just as a policy I keep a seperate herd for males.

Yes, they can live together happily. Get a young mini donkey instead of an old one if the old one was never in with goats.

And I once had a donkey (just an inch or two too tall to be a mini) that did not get along well with the sheep and goats. I had him gelded when I got him, but I think he was still too studdish (is that a word) to be nice. He ended up killing one of my goats because he bit him hard on the neck. I ended up finding him a home through a very large donkey breeding farm when I lived in Vermont.
