sicilian buttercups!!!!! - Page 7

Sorry I couldnt give you a more detonate answer on the winter subject...I haven't been into buttercups for cold weather...I can tell PDPercherons though that my bantam buttercups are actually larger than I would've thought...they are even bigger than my Ancona Bantams... And I will tell you that those are pretty small, but both breeds have large combs...and I wouldn't think winter would go over well...but that is what I have issues with, and we had to put down seven chickens one winter due to frostbite... They had there legs, toes, and feet frostbitten, as well as combs and wattles...that was the winter we had temps dropping 14 below or more...

Here's my 9 week old Sicilian Buttercup pullet, Cookie. Such a sweet, mischievous personality that reminds me of my Golden Campine, Alexandra. Actually, I have christened her my Alex #2, since Cookie is the only other girl who shares the trait of flying onto my arm on command.

Alex the Golden Campine- talented flier, mischievous little busybody, crackly-voiced conversationalist, loyal sidekick, and my sociable, cuddly sweetie.

"But God clearly shows and proves His own love for us, by the fact that while we were still sinners, Christ died for us" Romans 5:8

Happy owner of 40 chickens, 6 ducks, 4 cats, and 5 crabby parakeets! lol.png
