Yes, I'd like to see more in the way of voting options also. Folks are referring to noisy hens and I don't really have any truly noisy hens; although I have a hen that crows, she is a bantam Columbian Cochin. I have no idea what sets her off, she doesn't do it all the time. I think it's when she is in a really excited, good mood in the morning, but it's not really loud or obnoxious. The worst I've ever had was a Sebright rooster and he was so bad that it dictated a new home. I hated that because I had to let my favorite little hen go to be with him. I didn't want to split up the pair after I got them introduced to each other, because he was really a good rooster with her and she seemed to really like him a lot. He was so bad that if I went out, say at midnight, to take the dogs out or maybe get something out of the car, and he heard me moving around he'd start crowing and wouldn't stop for 15 or 20 min. plus he was really loud. It was terrible.
He was a real pain in the a.... if you get my drift.

Well, like I said, maybe it's just that I'm way out in the boonies, and my hens can be as loud as they want without anyone hearing or caring.

The coops are pretty far from the house, too. It doesn't usually seem like it's far, but trudging out there through 2 feet of snow this morning... Long Haul!

And then again, maybe I am just lucky!

From the list I chose leghorns as I have two and they are cackling and screaming about everything.

I still want Kosava chickens.

The guy that made that video offered to help me find a way to get some but, importing would be hard.

Gardenerd, I checked out this problem you PMd me about by making a dummy poll. You must check the box at the bottom when you first input the poll to allow more than one answer. When I went to your poll and clicked EDIT, that box did not appear for me. So, as far as I can tell, I cannot change your poll now that it's in progress, other than to add more selections.

Thanks, for the assistance, SpeckledHen. I'll be more careful in the future, if I ever create another poll. Sorry.

I guess if folks want to mention more than one noisy breed, they can do it by posting is this part. Same if the breed they want is not on the list.

I only have one loud girl... one of my cochins is a screamer. she screams to be picked up, she screams when you pick her up, she screams when yo put her down. LOL She is a nut

My chinese goose. My sebastapol used to be very quiet, but now he honks nearly as loudly as Lucy once she gets started. In comparison, the chickens are very quiet--even when 15 roosters are crowing simultaneously.
