Hello,

Has anybody ever ordered from Green Fire Farms? I would like your opinions on them as I am trying to get some chicks sent to Vermont. They said that they would gladly fill in a health ceritficate for me but I am sceptical. Hoping they know exactly what papers I need to cross the border.
 
Are you just getting them shipped to Vermont, where they will stay? That's not a problem at all. If you're going to take them into Canada that's another issue.
 
Yes I will be crossing them into Canada but they said no problem for the paperwork, I even specified to them that I required the USDA form VS17-6. I basically want to know if anybody has had any health issues or payment or shipment issues with.
 
I got 8 birds from them in August. They all arrived healthy and in great shape. They're all still doing well and are the only birds I have that have ventured out into the snow. I'm very happy with them.
 
That is good to hear. I am looking for a direct link for them to the USDA Exporting form needed to cross the border. It is called the VS17-6 but can't find the form itself, only tones of info. So I sent them the link for the info and asked if they could call. I'm keeping my fingers crossed.
 
Unfortunately I can't help you out with the USDA part of it. I have no idea how that works, other than to say the USDA can be less than helpful at times. Paul should have some idea how it goes since he imported the original stock.
 
I bought two pair from Green Fire Farm and one is birth defect

. I am trying so hard to deal with them but they are not professional and had bad reputation. Please every one has to be carefully whenever you purchase any live animal with this company.
 
I received a shipment from GFF this week. It was a bit unusual - as they were purchased by someone else and shipped to me. Throughout the process They were amazing to deal with! Very professional - even called me on delivery day to check on the babies.

Would give them my highest recommendation!
