Icelandic Chickens

One of the parolees went over the fence this afternoon!

Jokul saw an opening and took it.

I put out a reward and one of my senior C.O.'s (chicken officials) managed to corner him, cuff him and back into the slammer he went.

So now I owe DS a dollar and I need a drink....icy cold lemonade.

Whew!

Jokul on the lam...

I asked her about their flying ability because my run is not covered. (my run is my orchard) That's how I found out they can fly really well. (even with clipped wings)

It is quite possible that any chickens coming from Cluckawalla Valley State Prison could be spoiled and require some rehabilitation. Or you can just accept them as they are and provide them with scrambled eggs or steel cut oatmeal when it's cold outside and watermelon, cantaloupe and honeydew when it's hot. They will also be expecting an afternoon snack of organic whole grain sprouted bread regardless of the weather. They are inmates from California for crying out loud! Three hots, a cot, and cable TV! Deal with it.

My adult roos don't make the sound but Isi giggles. I'll have to try and get him on video. It's ridiculous.

Mary

You did not just say when it's cold outside.............you live in Caleeeforneea!!

Yeah, Yeah, I know it's cooler up there in Sacramento but come on now............cold?? Be honest.......... you just look for ways so spoil them.

Well, this is the Midwest and they will be out on the chain gang grubbing for their meals shortly. We'll see just how soft you've made them.......hopefully they can be rehabilitated!

Seinna (which is "Later" in Icelandic, thanks Sigrid),

Mary, oh Mary! I have Rico Suave's new name for you! According to google, this Icelandic Opera singer is the latest heart throb. His name is Gardar Thor Cortes.

Proof, that it does get cold here. Maybe not east coast cold, but still cold. And I'm only about 45 minutes from Mary.
