I have heard that Meyer is not a good hatchery to order from. I've got lots of friends that had the same issues. Glad you are having better luck with Murray McMurray.

I ordered another batch of chicks and a batch of goslings from Meyer, and it's a much better experience this go around. I have called and messaged online, and I am having a much better time with it. I asked about marking in some way the cockerels, and for $6 (not sure if it is for each bird or total number) they will either band the leg or mark them somehow. I decided not to pay for that since if my friend who is splitting the order with me is my best friend, and I see her often.
 
This company does not ship their chicks express. They send them priority, which takes up to 5 days. I've received a box full of dead chicks and now the second box looks to be the same at this rate. As the birds were supposed to arrive today as the last "safe day" and they haven't. Definitely wont be ordering from them again!
