It's 1/10th cc or ml per 10 pounds. You aren't going to kill the dog if you go a little over or under. If you think the dog has heart worms give the dog a 1/4 th of the treatment per week. I think I saw somone posted something similar about treating horses and I've been told the same thing by veterinarians. The vet uses ivermectin and arsenic to treat heart worm positive dogs. I'm not sure if you can use ivermectin to treat your cat but I did see them treat a human on "monsters inside me" TV show. As far as I know ivermectin kills all parasites except for hook or maybe a whip worms in all animals. The meds from the vet are Ivermectin. Ivermectin will NOT hurt your dog if the dog has heart worms and neither will the heart worm pill from your veterinarian.
