Looking for chicken laws in Danbury, Ct

Hi,

Just visited Town Hall and talked to the Zoning Officer there. I have over 7 acres of land and therefore pre-qualifies for the minimum of 5 acres. Upon further checks, I am in the RA40 zoning, so therefore will not be able to raise chickens for eggs even if for personal consumption only. Question is, other than trying to have zoning change to RA 80, can changing the zoning to Residential Agriculture also be a possibility?

Any answers or help will be appreciated.

Hi, What do you do with your chicken manure? I'm a gardener in the Ridgefield/Danbury area and am looking for chicken manure for the garden this year. I'd be happy to come and get it if anyone had some available.
 
Hi All,
living in Danbury on 3 acres of RA-80 and trying to qualify as farmland. Would like to have a few ducks and a mini goat. Hoping not to have too much opposition from city hall but Im sure it wont be easy. Any pointers?
